Old Ochre - Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

Old Ochre is the faded darkened cream Chalk Paint™ colour.

This colour is seen on old French painted furniture, woodwork and door exteriors.

Chalk paint was developed by Annie Sloan in 1990. It is a versatile, easy to use furniture paint.

There's no need to sand or prime, just dip in your brush and away you go.

Chalk Paint is suitable for painting a one colour finish as well as a range of decorative finishes.

  • Great coverage
  • Hard wearing
  • Highly pigmented
  • Works on most surfaces

How do you use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint?

Firstly make sure your surface is clean. If you want to smooth or key your surface prior to painting then you can do so with Annie Sloan's Sanding Pads.

For a smooth, contemporary finish apply with a synthetic brush such as an Annie Sloan Flat Brush. For textured, vintage finish use an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Brush.

What can I use Chalk Paint on?

Developed for transforming furniture Annie Sloan Chalk Paint can be used on wood, metal, laminate, concrete and more. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Does Chalk Paint need sealing?

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint requires sealing with Wax or Lacquer.

How much Chalk Paint do I need for my project?

1 litre is enough to cover approximately 13 square metres, 500ml is enough to cover approximately 6.5 square metres.

The 120ml tester pots are great for a smaller project, for mixing your own colours or for decorative techniques where several different colours are needed.
