Blockade - Shellac Primer & Stain Blocker

Smith & Rodger Blockade is a professional-quality shellac-based primer, sealer and stain blocker, ideal for preparing troublesome furniture and surfaces before painting.

If you’ve ever painted an older piece of furniture only to find tannins, stains or marks bleeding through your paint, Blockade is designed to stop them. Its pure shellac base permanently seals stains and odours while creating an excellent base for your chosen paint.

Blockade is also ideal for glossy and difficult-to-paint surfaces, including existing varnish and gloss paint, and can provide excellent adhesion without the need for sanding.

Application

Apply Blockade to a clean, dry surface using a brush, roller or sprayer. It is touch dry in approximately 15 minutes and can be recoated after 45 minutes, making it particularly useful when preparing furniture for painting.
