What are IOD Paint Inlays?

Paint Inlays are a design which is made up of paint pigment. Once wet they are transferred on to a painted surface which embeds the design in to your piece - giving it a hand painted look.

As well as covering large areas such as furniture these accents are also perfect for focused applications on smaller projects.

How to use IOD Paint Inlays:

These inlays are misted with water then applied to wet Chalk Paint. Once dry, the carrier paper is removed leaving the design on the piece. We love using them with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint,

Head over to my Blog Post for a step-by-step guide.

On furniture you can use smaller pieces on drawer knobs to compliment your piece. Use the corner pieces to frame small or large designs.

The transfer of the painted design will vary for each application.

The paint formula is ‘active’ until sealed. This means that you can manipulate it and apply special techniques or a custom touch before you seal your piece.

The inlays can be used more than once so you can often get a beautifully faded, second impression with the residual pigment on your ‘leftover’ Paint Inlay sheets.
