Black, Bronze and Walnut Dressing Table 

Bring a some vintage glam to your bedroom with this stylish dressing table.

Jet black paint and moody metallic bronze bring a modern feel to this vintage piece. 

A large part of the natural, walnut veneer has been restored and refinished with a traditional varnish to enhance the mesmerising patterns in the grain. 

Internally the drawers have been lined with a stylish Art Deco paper to complement the exterior. 

The original handles have been replaced at some point in its life with some modern equivalents which have been cleaned and polished. 

To ensure that this piece maintains its natural beauty for years to come, the interior has been treated with our natural furniture salve, which nourishes and preserves the wood.

As with all of my furniture, I work hard to remain true to the history and character of the pieces by restoring them sympathetically and in keeping with the era whilst making them a perfect fit for modern homes. 

Choosing to invest in vintage furniture is not only great for the environment, but it also allows you to create a unique and stylish interior with personality and a sense of history.

History

This piece is made by renowned furniture maker Austinsuite. Austinsuite started out in 1928. They specialised in bedroom sets, particularly wardrobes and dressing tables.  This piece has a date stamp behind the mirror of 2 SEPT 1952. 

Condition

My vintage pieces are carefully selected to give you a truly unique piece for your home.

You may find imperfections in keeping with the age of this piece. It is structurally sound and the drawers run smoothly. 

This piece comes with its original mirror which shows some signs of its ages. 

Aftercare

Your new furniture needs only a gentle wipe over or dust with a micro-fibre cloth from time to time to keep it looking fresh.

All pieces come with a complimentary care pack which includes a small pot of touch up paint and wax or topcoat should you need it.

 

Courier

All our pieces are delivered by our trusted and insured furniture couriers. 

Delivery normally takes around 2 weeks, but we will keep you updated every step of the way.

Delivery is £50 for mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland. For Cornwall, Highlands, Islands and Ireland please get in touch prior to purchase. I can deliver to these areas but there may be a slightly longer wait or an extra fee may be payable to cover delivery costs. 

Normally my courier works alone and may need assistance with larger items. If you require a two person team, please let me know when you purchase as an extra charge may be payable. 


Colour

If you are unsure on the colour of any of our pieces, I will happily send out a painted sample stick so you can see the colour against your existing decor.
