Art Deco Walnut Dressing Table

Move over conventional furniture and make way for this dramatic Art Deco dressing table. 

With its bold design and sweeping curves this piece has been painted in a deep black with touches of dazzling metallic gold making it the epitome vintage of glam. 

The walnut veneer has been lovingly restored and refinished in a traditional varnish to bring out the rich tones of the wood grain. 

The original wooden handles remain with some of the wood restored and some areas updated with black and gold paints to complement the piece. 

The 2 large, deep drawers means you’ll have plenty of storage for your winter woollies!

You will also find two smaller drawers and two curvaceous pull out sections which are perfectly sized for your make-up and accessories.  

The original mirror remains with some foxing around the edges adding to the character and vintage charm of the piece. The original carving at the top of the mirror has been painted black and highlighted in gold. 

Internally each drawer and runner has been treated with our natural furniture tonic, which nourishes and preserves the wood.

History

This piece was made in Czechoslovakia and comes stamped with the Controlled Commodity symbol meaning it can be dated to the period 1941-1952.

You may find imperfections in keeping with the age of this piece.

I remain faithful to the history and character of my pieces whilst ensuring I deliver pieces that are fully functioning and structurally sound. 

On this piece you may find bumps and chips adding to the character of a war time, historic piece of furniture. There is also a small amount of foxing on the mirror in keeping with its age. 

Aftercare

Your new furniture needs only a gentle wipe over or dust with a micro-fibre cloth from time to time to keep it looking fresh.

All pieces come with a complimentary care pack which includes a small pot of touch up paint and wax or topcoat should you need it.

Courier

All our pieces are delivered by our trusted and insured furniture couriers. 

Delivery can take around 2 weeks, but I will keep you updated every step of the way.

Delivery is £50 for mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland. For Cornwall, Highlands, Islands and Ireland please get in touch prior to purchase.

Normally my courier works alone and may need assistance with larger items. If you require a two person team, please let me know when you purchase as an extra charge may be payable. 

Colour
